Kriti Sanon as dance teacher in "Sing is Bling"

Kriti Sanon who made a successful debut with ‘Heropanti’ this year, will soon start shooting for her next two films, Prabhudheva’s, ‘Singh Is Bling’ and Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.’s ‘Farzi’. Both the films will kick off simultaneously in January 2015.
For SIB, the actress has been training vigorously in action especially in kick-boxing. In fact, she recently started training in Akshay Kumar’s personal gym which she describes as ‘most unique’ as it’s the only gym she has seen where there are no weights, cardio machines etc. and has flooring and walls made of mats!

“It’s great to practise kick-boxing in Akshay’s gym as there is a lot of open space and I can kick without the fear of getting hurt. I have never had a chance to learn kick boxing. I found it fun, but it can be tough when you push your limits. It immediately makes you feel stronger,” said Sanon.

Interestingly, even though she is training in action, she plays a dance teacher in the film, but does not want to divulge details about where the action part comes in as that would mean revealing the story.
“I need to learn one form of dancing professionally for my role as a dance teacher. At this point, all I can say is that it will not be a regular Western or a Bollywood dance form and will add a bit of freshness to the regular stuff you generally see.”
Recalling how the film came to her, Sanon says that Ashwini Yardi (co-producer of the film) and Kumar called her after they saw ‘Heropanti’, as the female lead in SIB required a girl who could dance and do action. “And girls with taller frames are more suited for that. I was thrilled when I read the script because it meant learning a Western dance form and doing action stunts,” said the 5’ 9’’ actress.

Talking about her second film, ‘Farzi’ she says that when director duo Nidimoru and D.K. narrated the script to her, she was glued to her seat because the concept was so gripping.
“Every time you figured out this is where the story is going, came a new twist or turn. I really liked it because normally in a thriller, the girl does not have much to do except for playing the romantic interest. In ‘Farzi’, besides playing the romantic interest, my role is very integral to the story.”

Sanon also clarified reports about her doing Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi, ‘Housefull 3′ and ‘Raees’. “I have not been approached for any of these films. I have not even met Vikramaditya, who I believe is still writing the script. As for ‘Raees’, who wouldn’t want to work with Shah Rukh Khan? But no, I am not in talks for the film,” she retorted.
