Kriti Sanon interview in 2010

How did modelling start?
I started modelling after my formal entry in the Jaypee college of Information Technology for engineering. Finally I started modelling when I was my second year of college. I always wanted to be a model and it has been a year that I’ve been associated with this modelling world.

Walking for renowned designers at an early age, how do you feel?
Oh…I feel I’m quite lucky and fortunate enough to reach this level at an early stage of my professional career. Because I know people who have struggled so much but still couldn’t make it in this world.

The best thing about being a model…
Frankly speaking…I enjoy TV commercials and shooting for print ads more than walking the ramp. I feel one can explore oneself in a better way during print shoots.

So how is Kriti as a person?
People who don’t know me feel I’m quite arrogant but once people get to know me, I’m very friendly with them. Plus I love to party.

Your fitness regime…
No fitness regime. I’ve been thin like this since ages. Plus, being in college junk food is a must….but yes, sometime I go gymming to keep myself toned.

One thing, you would like to share about yourself which people don’t know.
My first ramp walk was when I was 5 years old.

Designers whom you admire the most!
Suneet Varma, I like Manav Gangwani’s couture collection this time, and also Ritu Beri’s designs.

Your personal style statement…
I’m most comfortable in a pair of jeans and t-shirt, but I also like to wear one piece gowns and dresses.

What would you do if you became a media person for a day?
Hmmm…this is interesting. But if a got an opportunity to interview a model, it will either Nayonika Chatterjee or Laxmi Rana. Because I feel, behind the attitude-filled face, they are lovely human being and very down to earth.

Future Plans…
I’m not looking at modelling as a full time profession, because I feel it’s a very  short lived profession...I’ll give a time period of two years to myself, if anything big happens then great, otherwise I’ll shift to something else.

Date of Birth - 27th July
Fashion: It’s all about being comfortable in what you wear.
Favorite Color- Turquoise and Royal Blue
Favorite Food- Chinese
Favorite Holiday Destination: Goa
